4. Commissioning
PLEASE NOTE
• Before commissioning, ensure that the valve
terminal has been set to an allowable field
bus address (see Chapter 3.2).
• A change in the address only becomes
effective after switching off/on the power
supply to the valve terminal.
• If the address is altered while the power
supply to the valve terminal is switched on,
an internal fault will occur in the FIPIO bus
and the valve terminal will no longer be
addressed by the bus.
To implement valve terminals to the FIPIO bus
the valve terminal must be configured with the
standard FIPIO profile in a planning software.
Depending on your controller, the following
software package will be suitable for this:

For devices from Telemecanique:
Software package XTEL-CONF from XTEL
for Series 7 controllers, TSX model 40 (CPU
from Version 5.3).
This software enables the configuration and
installation of the FIPIO bus, automatically
produces any necessary operating parameters
and loads these into the device.
