3. Installation
Comments:
•
In connecting the valve terminal by branch
cable, the field bus interface remaining free
must be provided with a protective cap
(IP65).
•
The drop cable can be connected to the
Festo field bus sockets with PG9 or 13.5.
•
The connection by branch cable has the
disadvantage that an ACC4 connecting sock-
et must always be used. With serial connec-
tion of the valve terminal the ACC4 is not
required. In this case, however, note the
following:
– separating the valve terminal from the
FIPIO field bus will interrupt the field bus.
– Any terminating resistor required cannot
be installed and grounded.
•
If the valve terminal is installed as the last
field bus slave, the option using the branch
cables must be used.
