7.3.2.2 Installing the Flow Cell
1. Insert the flow cell straight into the cell opening.
2. Tighten the flow cell screws (→ Fig. 38) hand-tight.
3. Remove the dummy plugs on the flow cell in and out connection ports. Reconnect the
flow cell inlet to the separation column and reconnect the waste capillary to the flow
cell outlet. Route the capillaries to the outside through the slots provided in the
detector enclosure to prevent them from being pinched when the front panel door is
opened.
4. Close the front panel door to allow the firmware to detect the new flow cell.
5. Perform a wavelength calibration (→ page 90).
