40 - Ekip Com Modbus RTU

Ekip Com Modbus RTU is a communication accessory that enables Ekip Touch to be integrated
into a RS-485 network with Modbus RTU communication protocol, with remote supervision and
control functions, in two different modes, master and slave.

To map the module in its own communication network, the document System Interface is
available (page 128), in which all the necessary communication and command details are listed.
To connect Ekip Modbus RTU to Ekip Touch, the Ekip Cartridge (page 129) and Ekip Supply
(page 130) accessories are required.
Models Ekip Touch can be configured with two different modules that are compatible with the Modbus
RTU protocol: Ekip Com Modbus RTU and Ekip Com Modbus RTU Redundant.
The two modules are identical in terms of characteristics and installation methods, except for:
display menus on unit, cablings and addresses for external communication, that are specific for
each model.
Both modules can be connected simultaneously to Ekip Touch to increase the potential of unit
(for example: for applications in which great network reliability is necessary).
