18.3 Programming Environment

The following shows the environment required for writing programs to the flash memory of the V850/SB1 and
V850/SB2.

A host machine is required for controlling the dedicated flash programmer.
UART0 or CSI0 is used for the interface between the dedicated flash programmer and the V850/SB1 or V850/SB2
to perform writing, erasing, etc. A dedicated program adapter (FA Series) required for off-board writing.

18.4 Communication Mode

The communication between the dedicated flash programmer and the V850/SB1 or V850/SB2 is performed by
serial communication using UART0 or CSI0 of the V850/SB1, V850/SB2 .

Transfer rate: 4800 to 76800 bps
