4. In the Control Housing access area, screw the alarm switches into the manifold (see
Figure 8-19) and plug the wire harness into their original locations on the mother board.
5. In the isothermal oven, reinstall the feedthroughs (see Figure 8-18).
6. In the isothermal oven, reinstall tubing connections as shown in Figure 8-18.
7. Close the isothermal oven door.
8. Install the screw in the Carrier Gas Panel (see Figure 8-17).
9. Close the Control Housing access panel.
10. Close the Controller front door.

REPAIRING THE EPC CONTROL ASSEMBLY

To ensure the integrity of the components within the EPC, use the tools in
EPC Service Tool Kit 801K005-1 when assembling or disassembling the
EPC Control Assembly.

Preparation

Before performing EPC repair, you must turn off power to the analyzer as
described in the following steps.
1. On the Background screen, press the F1 (Exit to Commands) soft key.
2. On the Commands screen, cursor to ANALYSIS CONTROL, if necessary, and press the
F2 (Start/Stop Analysis) soft key.
3. On the Start/Stop Analysis screen, cursor to End of Analysis? and press the F2 (Stop
Analyzer) soft key. The analyzer will stop at the end of the analysis.
4. Remove power from the analyzer and ensure that power to the analyzer remains
removed throughout the EPC repair process.
5. If an extended turn-off is necessary:
a. Turn off sample supply and burner fuel.
b. Allow analyzer to cool to ambient temperature.
c. Turn off remaining flows at their sources and plug all vents.
