14. In the Control Housing access area, remove the plugs from the manifold.
15. In the Control Housing access area, remove the five screws from the manifold.
16. On the right side of the analyzer, remove the screw on the side of the EPC Control
Assembly.
17. Carefully remove the Control Assembly.

Installing the EPC Control Assembly

1. Carefully install the Control Assembly and its associated components.
2. On the right side of the analyzer, install the screw on the side of the EPC Control
Assembly.
3. In the Control Housing access area, install and tighten the five screws holding the
manifold.
4. In the Control Housing access area, install the plugs in the manifold.
5. In the Control Housing access area, install the alarm switches on the manifold.
6. Connect the alarm switches to the backplane board.
7. On the EPC Multibus PCB in the card cage, reconnect the EPC Control Assembly cable
from J43 (near the bottom of the PCB).
8. At the left side of the backplane board, connect the EPC Control Assembly cable to J44.
9. Close the Controller front door.
10. In the isothermal oven, screw the feedthroughs in place.
11. In the isothermal oven, reconnect the EPC feedthrough tube nuts.
12. On the side wall behind the Purge Air Panel insert the lock nut on the pipe nipple which
retains the EPC Panel cables and tighten it (see Figure 8-20).
13. Position the Purge Air Panel and then install and tighten the four screws holding it in
place.
14. Close the isothermal oven door.
15. Hold the EPC cover panel in place, then install and tighten the two screws holding the
EPC cover.
16. Close the Control Housing access panel.

Removing a Sensor PCB

Use an ESD Wrist strap and proper grounding procedures before handling
any components in the EPC Control Assembly.
