5. Locate the Sensor PCB to be replaced.
There are two types of Sensor PCBs: a square PCB assembly (old type)
and PCB assembly that is at right angles to the sensor (new type).
6. Unplug the Sensor PCB from the Controller PCB.
7. To remove the old type Sensor PCB:
a. Using a 1.5 mm hex socket wrench, remove the screws and plate that retain the
Sensor PCB (older Sensor PCBs may not have the plate, but they are removed in
similar manner, including standoffs if present).
b. Grasp the Sensor PCB at opposite corners and gently remove it from the EPC
Controller Assembly.
c. Remove the O ring from the installation cavity.
8. To remove the new type Sensor PCB:
a. Using a 1.5 mm hex socket wrench, loosen the screws that retain the Sensor PCB
b. Slide the Sensor PCB out from under the mounting plate and remove it from the EPC
Controller Assembly.

Installing a New Sensor PCB

If the old type Sensor PCB being removed is in any location other than the
right-most zone in use, you will have to move the Sensor PCB that is in the
right-most zone to where you have removed the old type Sensor. Then you
can install the new type Sensor PCB in the right-most zone. Also, if more
than one zone is replaced, they must be replaced starting with the highest
numbered zone (right side) and proceeding to the lowest numbered zone
(left side).
1. Place a Belleville washer on each mounting screw, with the rounded side toward the
screw.
2. Place the screws through the holes in the mounting plate.
3. Place the gasket on the end of the two screws, with enough screw thread showing
through the gasket to start the screws into the hole.
4. Insert the screws into the hole in the block, just far enough to hold them in place.
5. Place the Sensor PCB into position between the plate and the gasket, with the cable at
the bottom right edge.
6. Slightly tighten the two screws evenly, removing any play in the assembly (but applying
no torque) and ensuring it is mounted straight up and down.
