11.6 VDSL Modem

bintec R3502 features an integrated VDSL2 modem which supports automatic switching to
ADSL2+. If required, VDSL connection is available at any time.
In addition to the VDSL2 modem, the bintec R3502has five gigabit Ethernet ports, which
can be configured for LAN, WAN or DMZ.

11.6.1 VDSL Configuration

In this menu, you make the basic settings for your VDSL connection.

For Wire Mode =
pair of wires is defined here.
Wire pairs already used in defined connections are not available
for selection. If these continue to be used for this SHDSL con-
nection, the existing connection must first be terminated.
For Wire Mode =
the minimum number of active links is defined.
Only for Clock Rate =
Select which speed should be used.
Only for Clock Rate =
Under Minimum select the minimum clock rate and under Max-
imum the maximum clock rate for the connection.
