Step 3.
Replace the fan cage assembly, if you removed it (see "Replacing the fan cage assembly" on
page 126).
Step 4.
Reconnect the cables (see "Connecting the cables" on page 128).
Step 5.
If you removed the server cover, replace it (see "Replacing the server top cover" on page 127).
Step 6.
Reconnect the power cords.
Step 7.
Start the server. Confirm that is starts correctly and recognizes the newly installed devices, and
make sure that no error LEDs are lit.
Step 8.
Update the server configuration (see "Updating the server configuration" on page 129).
Step 9.
(Business Partners only) Complete the additional steps in "Instructions for Business Partners"
on page 25.
Step 10. Install the server in the rack (see the Rack Installation Instructions that come with the server for
instructions).

Replacing the DIMM air baffle

Use this information to replace the DIMM air baffle.
To install the DIMM air baffle, complete the following steps:
Step 1.
Read the safety information and installation guidelines, see "Safety" on page v and "Installation
guidelines" on page 38.
Step 2.
Align the tabs on the sides of the DIMM air baffle with the slots on the sides of the chassis wall
and lower the DIMM air baffle into the server.

Replacing the microprocessor air baffle

Use this information to replace the microprocessor air baffle.
