Step 4.
If the DIMM is on the system board, remove the DIMM air baffle (see "Removing the DIMM
air baffle" on page 220). or microprocessor and memory expansion tray (see "Removing the
microprocessor and memory expansion tray assembly" on page 292).
Step 5.
Carefully open the retaining clips on each end of the DIMM connector and remove the DIMM.
Attention: To avoid breaking the retaining clips or damaging the DIMM connectors, open and
close the clips gently.

If you are instructed to return the DIMM, follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging
materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
