Appendix A. Boot code display error codes

Use this information to resolve boot code error messages.
The boot code display area of the light path diagnostics panel provides an error code that indicates the point
at which the system stopped during the boot block and POST. A boot code is either a byte or a word value
that is produced by UEFI. This display will provide error codes in the event of a microprocessor error or a
power fault. In addition to the IMM log, the codes can provide suggested components to be replaced.
The following is an illustration show the boot code display area on the light path diagnostics panel:
Light Path Diagnostics
The following table lists the error codes that might display in the boot code display area that is associated
with the integrated voltage regulator power faults or microprocessor failure events. Follow the action plan
listed for the corresponding IMM events listed in this table to solve the problem. See the Appendix D
"Integrated management module II (IMM2) error messages" on page 509 for the corresponding IMM event ID
and action plan to follow and correct the problem.
