COMPONENT DESCRIPTION
Power Brake Booster
All BR models are equipped with a Delco 260T,
tandem (dual) diaphragm power brake booster (Fig.
1).
Two versions of the 260T booster are used. A stan­
dard duty version is used in all 1/2 ton models. A
higher output version is used in 3/4 and 1 ton mod­
els.
Brake Pedal
The brake booster is operated by a suspended type
brake pedal (Fig. 2). The pedal pivots on a shaft lo­
cated in a mounting bracket attached to the dash

panel. The pedal shaft is supported by bushings in
the pedal and mounting bracket.
Brakelight Switch
A plunger style, self adjusting brakelight switch is
used for all applications. The switch is positioned in
a separate bracket attached to the pedal mounting
bracket (Fig. 3).

0WER BRAKE BOOSTER IDENTIFICATION
The standard and high output boosters are identified
by code letters on the forward face of the booster (Fig.
1).
Booster I.D. code letters are as follows:
• 1/2 ton booster code is ZK
© 3/4 and 1 ton booster code is ZL
