Maintaining Your GC
This step exposes the interconnect spring. Be careful not to touch or
disfigure the spring while working on the FID. Any dirt or bending
will reduce the sensitivity of your detector.

Remove the collector assembly. Place it on a clean cloth for
additional disassembly.
Remove the gasket from the bottom of the assembly, if

necessary.

Remove the FID ignitor castle.

Loosen the collector nut.
Remove the collector nut and the spring washer.

Lift the castle out of the collector housing. When removing

the castle, some of the collector parts may be attached. Set
these on a clean cloth to protect from scratches or dirt.
