    The plasma operates at extremely high temperatures. The ICP-OES instrument exhaust fumes can be noxious or corrosive. The exhaust system should be checked regularly to ensure adequate flow. Consult the Agilent 700 Series ICP-OES Site Prep Guide for the appropriate flow rates. Hot Surface WARNING The external vent may become hot during ICP-OES instrument operation and remain hot for some time after the instrument has been switched off.

    Performing a Dark Current Scan, Wavelength Calibration and Torch Scan Hardware The Agilent 700 Series ICP-OES must be installed by an Agilent-trained, Agilent- qualified or Agilent-authorized field service engineer. You should have completed and returned the form in the Site Preparation Guide stating that you have prepared the laboratory in accordance with the requirements detailed in that manual.
