Intercom Calling
Voice Calling
immediately, without a ringing tone
Tone Calling
System programming determines whether the DBS 824 uses voice or tone
calling as a default If voice calling is the default, dialing "1" after the
extension number changes the call to a tone call If tone calling is the default,
dialing "1" results in a voice call

With voice calling, intercom calls are connected
With tone calls, a ringing tone is sent to the called extension
Pick up the handset.
The phone issues intercom dial tone
Note:
If you are calling from an extension programmed for Prime Line
Preference, press the FF key programmed for intercom operation
Dial the extension number (10-69) or (100-699)
If the system default is tone calling, dial "1 "
"Talk-EXT XXX" (where "XXX" is the extension) appears on the
l
display If the extension name has been stored, that name appears on
the display after "Talk" instead of "-EXT XX "
The EXT LED lights
l
Complete the call and replace the handset
The EXT LED goes off
Press the HOLD key
The EXT LED flashes
l
"Hold-EXT XXX" (where "XXX" is the extension) appears on the
l
display
Dial the number of the extension to which the call will be transferred
If the system default is tone calling, dial "1 "
