Turn off the power.
Make sure all amber logic-power LEDs of all installed processor subsystem DCAs are off.

Attention: Before you remove or replace any MCM or L3 module, stop, read, and understand the
following procedures: "MCM Module (Processor) and Pass Through Modules" on page 845 and "L3 Cache
Modules" on page 865.
Reinstall one of the MCM modules that is removed and listed in "Step 152e-22" on page 235.

Yes The module just reinserted was defective. This ends the procedure.
Return the system to its original configuration.

for Multiple Bus Systems.
No Go to "Step 152e-29".

Have all the modules listed in "Step 152e-22" on page 235 been reinstalled?
Yes The symptom has changed. This ends the procedure.
Return the system to its original configuration.
Go to "MAP 0410: Repair Checkout" in the RS/6000 and Eserver pSeries Diagnostic Information
for Multiple Bus Systems.
No Go to "Step 152e-25".
