802.1x Commands
dot1x re-authenticate
The dot1x re-authenticate Privileged EXEC mode command manually initiates a
re-authentication of all 802.1x-enabled ports or the specified 802.1x-enabled port.
Syntax
dot1x re-authenticate [ethernet interface]
Parameters
■
interface — Valid Ethernet port. (Full syntax: port)
Default Setting
This command has no default configuration.
Command Mode
Privileged EXEC mode
Command Usage
There are no user guidelines for this command.
Example
The following command manually initiates a re-authentication of 802.1x-enabled Ethernet port
1/e16.
Console# dot1x re-authenticate ethernet 1/e16
