sntp client enable (Interface)
The sntp client enable Interface Configuration (Ethernet, port-channel, VLAN) mode command
enables the Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) client on an interface. This applies to both
receive broadcast and anycast updates. To disable the SNTP client, use the no form of this
command.
Syntax
sntp client enable
no sntp client enable
Parameters
There are no parameters for this command.
Default Setting
The SNTP client is disabled on an interface.
Command Mode
Interface configuration (Ethernet, port-channel, VLAN) mode
Command Usage
Use the sntp broadcast client enable Global Configuration mode command to enable broadcast
clients globally.
Use the sntp anycast client enable Global Configuration mode command to enable anycast
clients globally.
Example
The following command enables the SNTP client on Ethernet port 1/e3.
Console(config)# interface ethernet 1/e3
Console(config-if)# sntp client enable
