Using System Commands

With the system commands, you can:

To set UNIX environment variables

• Using the command line, enter the set <VAR> command.
You can set UNIX shell environment variables from within the Softkey Interface
with the set <environment_variable> = <value> command.
Examples
To set the PRINTER environment variable to "lp -s":
set PRINTER = "lp -s" <RETURN>
After you set an environment variable from within the Softkey Interface, you can
verify the value of it by entering !set <RETURN>.
Set UNIX environment variables while in the Softkey Interface.
Display the name of the emulation module.
Display the event log.
Display the error log.
Edit files.
Copy information to a file or printer.
Open a terminal emulation window.
