5.lnstall:
• Air filter element
• Air filter case cover
(with the gasket)
Make sure that
the
projection G) on the air
filter case cover is securely installed into
the slot

in the air filter case.
NOTE: - - - - - - - - - - - -
Make sure that the element is properly
installed in the filter case.

Never operate the engine without the air
filter element installed. Unfiltered air will
cause rapid wear of engine parts and may
damage the engine. Operating the engine
without the filter element will also affect
the ~arburetor tuning, leading' to poor
engine performance and possible overheat-
ing .
6.lnstall:
• Fuel tank
• Side panels (left and right)
• Passenger seat
• Rider seat
Refer to "FUEL TANK" and "SEATS".

1.Remove:
• Rider seat
• Passenger seat
• Side panels (left and right)
• Fuel tank
Refer to "SEATS" and "FUEL TANK".
2.lnspect:
• Carburetor joints
Cracks/damage

Replace.
Refer to "CARBURETORS" in CHAPTER 6 .
