2.Measure:
• Piston-to-cylinder clearance

Measurement steps:
1st step:
•
• Measure cylinder bore "C" with a cylinder •
bore gauge.
G) 40 mm (1.57 in) from the cylinder top
NOTE: _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Measure the cylinder bore "C" in parallel to
and at right angle to the crankshaft. Then,
find the average of the measurements.

the piston and the piston rings as a set.
2nd step:
• Measure piston skirt diameter "P" with a
micrometer.
@ 3 mm (0.118 in) from the bottom edge of the
piston.
