4.Remove:
• Rear wheel
Refer to "REAR WHEEL" .
5.Remove:
• Stay (bottom cowling) G)
• Bolt (connecting rod)®
• Bolt (shock absorber - lower) @
NOTE:
When removing the lower bolt, hold the
swingarm so that it does not drop down.
6.Remove:
• Chain guard G)
7.Remove:
• Brake hose holder G)
• Brake hose guide®
• Brake hose guide @
• Brake caliper bracket @
• Tension bar@
8.Check:
• Swingarm free play

Inspection steps:
eCheck the tightening torque of the swing-
arm pivot shaft securing nuts .
Nut (swingarm pivot shaft):
90 Nm (9.0 m • kg, 65 ft • lb)
