N O T E : - - - - - - - - - - - -
• Apply molybdenum disulfide oil to the
valve lifters and pads .
• The valve lifters must move smoothly
when rotated with a finger.
• Each valve lifter and pad must be rein-
stalled in its original position .

2.lnstall:
• Main journal bearings
(onto the upper crankcase)
There is no slot in the J3 main journal bear-
ing. During installation, do not interchange
the J3 main journal bearing with any of the
other ones.
NOTE: - - - - - - - - - - - -
• Align the projection @ of the main journal
bearing with the notch (6) in the crank-
case.
• Be sure to install each main journal bear-
ing in its original place .
3.Apply:
• Engine oil
(onto the bearing (main journal) surfaces)
