VALVE CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT ~

•Starting from the #1 cylinder when it is at
TDC turn the crankshaft counterclockwise
the specified amount of degrees for each
cylinder. Refer to the chart below.

• Camshaft caps (intake and exhaust)

NOTE: - - - - - - - - - - - -
• Refer to "ENGINE DISASSEMBLY - CYL-
INDER HEAD COVER, CYLINDER HEAD
AND CAMSHAFTS" in CHAPTER 4.
• When removing the timing chain or cam-
shafts, fasten a wire to the timing chain to
retrieve it if it falls into the crankcase.
