•Tighten the connecting rod nuts.

Without pausing, tighten the connecting
rod nuts to full torque specification. Apply
continuous torque between 2.0 and 3.6
m
•kg.Once you reach 2.0
m •
kg DO NOT
STOP TIGHTENING.until the final torque is
reached. If the tightening is interrupted
between 2.0 and 3.6 m • kg, loosen the nut
to less than 2.0 m • kg and start again.
• Remove the connecting rods and bear-
ings.
• Measure the compressed Plastigauge®
width@ on each crank pin.
If the oil clearance is out of specification,
select a replacement bearing.

ing. During installation, do not interchange
