1.Remove:
• Valve lifters
CD
•Pads®
NOTE: - - - - - - - - - - - -
Identify the position of each valve lifter
CD
and pad ® very carefully so that they can
be reinstalled in their original place.
2.Check:
•

• Valve sealing •
Leakage at the valve seat

Inspect the

valve face, valve seat and valve seat width.
Refer to "INSPECTION AND REPAIR -
VALVE SEATS".

Checking steps:
ePour a clean solvent® into the intake and
exhaust ports.
•Check that the valves seal properly.
There should be no leakage at the valve
seats
CD.

3.Remove:
• Valve cotters
CD
NOTE: - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Attach a valve spring compressor ® and
attachment @ between the valve spring
retainer and cylinder head to remove the
valve cotters.
Valve spring compressor:
VM-04019/90890-04019
Attachment:
(for exhaust valve)
VM-4108/90890-04108
(for intake valve)
VM-4114/90890-04114
4.Remove:
• Valve spring retainer
CD
• Valve spring ®
• Spring seat@
• Valve@
• Oil seal®
NOTE: - - - - - - - - - - - -
Identify the position of each part very carefully
so that it can be reinstalled in its original place.
