Star Module response and general recovery methods
The subscriber's metallic line can not be tested.
The following identify the actions the system takes when a blown fuse is
detected:
• talk battery fuse - POTS line cards will not operate. The Critical alarm
is set.
• Fans and heater fuse - fans and heater will not operate. The Critical
alarm is set.
• LTU fuse - subscriber lines will not operate. THe Critical alarm is set.
• customer fuse - customer equipment will not operate. The Major
alarm is set.
In each case, a message is sent to the host switch.
