Configuration Commands
Description
This command specifies the destination IP address used in the inband control connection. If the
address is not configured, the ring cannot become operational.
Parameters
ip-address — Specifies the destination IP address.
interface

Description
This command specifies the name of the IP interface used for the inband control connection. If the
name is not configured, the ring cannot become operational.
service-id
Syntax
service-id service-id
no service-id
Context
config>redundancy>mc>peer>mcr>ring>ibc
config>redundancy>mc>peer>mcr>node>cv
Description
This command specifies the service ID if the interface used for the inband control connection belongs
to a VPRN service. If not specified, the service-id is zero and the interface must belong to the Base
router.
The no form of the command removes the service-id from the IBC configuration.
Parameters
service-id — Specifies the service ID if the interface.
path-b
Syntax
[no] path-b
Context
config>redundancy>mc>peer>mcr>ring
Description
This command specifies the set of upper-VLAN IDs associated with the SAPs that belong to path B
with respect to load-sharing. All other SAPs belong to path A.
Default
If not specified, the default is an empty set.
