10.5 Replacing the registration
roller
A. Periodically replaced parts/cycle
• Registration roller: Every 1,500,000 copies
B. Procedure
1. Remove the registration cleaning sheet. (See
"10.2
Replacing
sheet.")
2. Remove the ADU cover /R, ADU release lever
and the ADU cover /L. (See "7.3 Replacing the
paper feed clutch /BP .")
3. Remove 2 screws [1] and then remove the gear
cover [2].
4. Remove a relay connector [3].
5. Remove the stop rings [4], 1 each, and then
remove the bearings [5], 1 each at front and
rear.
6. Remove 2 screws [6] and then remove the regis-
tration unit [7].
Note:
• When removing the registration unit [7], open
the conveyance guide plate /U [8] and slide
the registration unit toward the rear of the
ADU to pull out the shaft of the front side from
the ADU panel, and then remove the registra-
tion unit.
