11.3 Operation

11.3.1 Conveyance speed control

• The transport motor provides drive for the conveyance section.
• The conveyance speed is variable in two steps and the appropriate one is selected according to the paper type and print mode as detailed
below.

11.3.2 Registration roller control

• When the paper taken up and fed in by the feed roller reaches the registration roller, a loop is formed in the paper and paper conveyance is
temporarily stopped. Conveyance skew is corrected by this loop.
• The registration sensor detects whether or not the paper has reached the registration roller.
