Bring the 10x objective (Ph1) into the optical path.
Press the OBJ CW or CCW button to bring 10x objective
(Ph1) into the optical path.
Pressing the OBJ CW button turns the nosepiece by one
address in the clockwise direction (as viewed from
above), while the OBJ CCW button turns the nosepiece
in the counterclockwise direction.
Restrict movement of motorized nosepiece
A function to prevent the objective from touching the
specimen when the motorized nosepiece is rotated is
available. (See Chapter 3 "11.1 Motorized Nosepiece
Operation".)
Stop nosepiece rotation by Z position
Disables the nosepiece rotation if the elevating
section is above the specified position.
The configured upper limit is applied to all the
objective addresses.
Nosepiece reverse rotation
Prohibits rotating directly from sextuple/septuple
nosepiece address 1 to adjacent address 6/7.
Intelligent nosepiece
Manually switch the objective since motorized
operation is not available for the intelligent nosepiece.
On DS-L3, only information display is provided.

Place a specimen on the stage, and move the stage to bring the target into view.
(1)
Open the claw of the specimen holder's moving part
and place the specimen onto the stage, gently stowing
the claw back to fix the specimen.
(2)
Rotate the stage X/Y knobs to move the stage and
bring the target into the optical path. (See Chapter 3 "5
Bringing the Target into the Optical Path (Horizontal
Stage Movement, Rotation)".)
(So that the sample sealed under the cover glass will
be lighted.)
Non-fluorescent, distortion-free slide glass
Use clean, non-fluorescent, distortion-free slides and
cover glasses.
Motorized horizontal stage movement
When using a motorized XY stage, use the ergo or
joystick controller to control the horizontal stage
movement. (See Chapter 3 "5.2 Operating the
Motorized XY Stage".)
