Adjust the brightness.
Adjust the brightness of the image using the ND filter.
Press the ND filter IN/OUT switch to the [IN] (lower) side
to bring the filter into the optical path.
Brightness can be adjusted by rotating the
dia-illumination brightness control knob, note, however,
that the image color could be changed. (See Chapter 3
"3 Adjusting the Brightness of a Diascopic Image".)
Photomicrography voltage setting: for
improved color reproduction
Changing the lamp voltage for brightness adjustment
will affect the lamp color temperature and alter the
color balance of the image. Increasing the voltage
will result in a bluish tint, while reducing the voltage
results in a reddish tint. If accurate color reproduction
is critical, set the dia-illumination lamp brightness
control knob at the
brightness to the photomicrography voltage suitable
for imaging.
(Photomicrography voltage value is adjusted and set
at shipment and users cannot modify it.) To adjust the
brightness further without changing color, bring the
NCB11 filter in the filter cassette into the optical path.
Use the ND filters for adjustment. (See Chapter 3 "3
Adjusting the Brightness of a Diascopic Image".)
