3.16 HARD DISK FORMAT
There are two types of hard disk formatting:
1. Physical formatting
2. Logical formatting
This orogram is for physical formatting of the hard disk; it can
execute the following items.
1. All track FORMAT
2. Good track FORMAT
3. Bad track FORMAT
4. Bad track CHECK
Note: Execution of the program cannot be performed unless the
HDD switch is on.
CAUTION: The contents of the hard disk will be erased when this
program is
run.
Before running
the program,
transfer
the contents of the hard disk on to a floppy disk. This
can be done with the MS-DOS BACKUP command.

Executes the formatting of a specified cylinder and track as
a bad track.
4. Bad track CHECK
Checks for bad
tracks
on
the
displayed.
(Execution time: 1 and 1/2 minutes)
