2.4 Cluster Configuration Example

2.4.1 Basic Cluster Configuration Example

I. Network requirements
Three switches compose a cluster, where:
An S5100 series switch serves as the management device.
The rest are member devices.
Serving as the management device, the S5100 switch manages the two member
devices. The configuration for the cluster is as follows:
The two member devices connect to the management device through
GigabitEthernet 1/0/2 and GigabitEthernet 1/0/3.
The management device connects to the Internet through GigabitEthernet 1/0/1.
GigabitEthernet 1/0/1 belongs to VLAN 2, whose interface IP address is
163.172.55.1.
All the devices in the cluster share the same FTP server and TFTP server.
The FTP server and TFTP server use the same IP address: 63.172.55.1.
The NMS and logging host use the same IP address: 69.172.55.4.
