How to check the colour scale settings
Click the

Colour Scale
pane.

Observe that the current colour scale is shown.

You can filter out the weakest echoes by manually modifying the colour threshold.

Click the
Colour Scale
pane.

Move the cursor to the left side of the colour scale.
Observe that the cursor changes shape to a dual arrow line.

Click on the left edge of the colour scale, and drag the edge towards right.

Observe that the weakest colours are removed from the colour scale, and thus
also the weakest echoes from the echogram presentation.

a selection, and clicking

Colour Scale
When the colour scale uses 12 colours, each colour always represents a 3 dB value
range. Using 12 colours thus enables mapping of a 36 dB value range to colours.

Note
Size distribution and fish position information panes are only available if you use a
split beam echo sounder system!
