authenticator
Acquired—Authenticator

acquired, awaiting
authentication to begin
• Authenticating—Authentication
in progress
Authenticated—Authentication

successful or implicit
authentication due to timeouts
Held—Authentication failed,

waiting before next attempt
(approximately 60 seconds)
