Default mode must be dynamic to make this command effective.
To configure the mode that the IP address of default interface is assigned.
default mode { manual | dynamic }
Manual mode. The ip address of default interface is the one
manual
configured by 'default ip address' command.
Dynamic mode. The ip address of default interface is got
dynamic
through the protocol configured by 'default ip address
allocation protocol' command.

assigned.
