The fuser exit sensor does not turn off after the registration sensor turns off during paper feed from cassette 1-
7, the duplex section or the MP tray.

Assumed cause
The connector is not prop-
erly connected or the wire
is faulty.
The front PWB is faulty.
The feed PWB is faulty.
Assumed cause
There is an obstacle on the
tray.
The paper stopper is not
stored on the tray.
The paper is caught with a
piece of paper, etc.
The locations of the paper
width guides do not fit with
the paper size.
The actuator does not
operate properly.
The paper is caught with
the conveying guide.

Measures
Clean the terminal of the fol-
lowing wire connectors and
reinsert the connectors.
Replace the wire when it has
no continuity.• Fuser exit sen-

solenoid - Front PWB• Fuser
motor - Feed PWB• Front
PWB - Engine PWB• Feed
PWB - Engine PWB
Replace the front PWB.
Replace the feed PWB.
Replace the engine PWB.
Measures
Remove an obstacle.
Store the paper stopper.
A piece of paper or the for-
eign objects are adhered on
the conveying path, or if the
parts such as the guide or
the actuator has burrs,
remove them.
Relocate the paper width
guides to fit them with the
paper size.
The actuator or the spring is
deformed, or if not properly
operate, replace it.
Reinstall the conveying
guide. If there are burrs on
the conveying surface of the
conveying guide, remove
them. If not repaired, replace
it.
