Paper gets curled down-
ward or waving.
Unspecified papers are
used.

The middle sensor does
not properly operate.
The middle conveying
motor does not properly
operate.
The drive from the middle
conveying motor is not
properly transmitted.
The connector is not prop-
erly connected or the wire
is faulty.
The feed PWB is faulty.

Measures
Fix or replace paper. If it is
difficult to replace, relocate
the leading edge with the
trailing edge of the paper to
feed or turn over the paper,
and reinstall it.
Explain to the user to use the
paper within the specifica-
tions.
Remove the paper with for-
eign objects.
Turn the middle sensor on
and off by a hand and check
the indication at U031
[Feed1(Mid)]. If the middle
sensor does not properly
operate, clean and reattach it
and reinsert the connector. If
not repaired, replace it.
Execute U030 [Mid Roller]. If
the middle conveying motor
does not properly operate,
reattach it and reinsert the
connector. If not repaired,
replace it.
Check if the middle convey-
ing motor smoothly rotates by
a hand. Then, clean and reat-
tach the drive parts if neces-
sary. If not repaired, replace
them.
Clean the terminal of the fol-
lowing wire connectors and
reinsert the connectors.
Replace the wire when it has
no continuity.• Middle sensor

Replace the feed PWB.
Replace the engine PWB.
