C7241: Developer thermistor broken
The input sampling value of the toner sensor (developer thermistor) exceeds the reference value. (After the
abnormal state is detected, the detection temperature is regarded as 23°C / 73°F.)

Assumed cause
The toner sensor is faulty.
The developer unit is not
properly installed.
The connector is not prop-
erly connected. Or, the
wire is faulty.
The developer unit (Toner
sensor ) is faulty.
The firmware is not the lat-
est version.
The front PWB is faulty.

Measures
Execute U139 [Developing]
to check the in-machine tem-
perature around the devel-
oper unit. (Go to the next
step.)
Reinstall the developer unit
so that the connector is firmly
connected.
Clean the terminal of the fol-
lowing wire connectors and
reconnect the connectors. If
there is no continuity, replace
the wire. • Front PWB -
Engine PWB
Replace the developer unit.
Upgrade the engine firmware
to the latest version
Replace the front PWB.
Replace the engine PWB.
