arrival jam
Condition: Paper jam in the fuser unit (The paper leading margin is 4.0mm or more.)
The fuser exit sensor does not turn on after the loop sensor turns on during paper feed from cassette 1-7, the
duplex section or the MP tray. This is caused by paper rolled up around the fuser roller.

Assumed cause
The drive from the fuser
motor is not properly trans-
mitted.
The connector is not prop-
erly connected or the wire
is faulty.
The front PWB is faulty.
The feed PWB is faulty.
Assumed cause
The foreign objects are
adhered to the pressure
roller or the fuser belt.
The toner is adhered to the
fuser separation plate or it
is deformed or floated.
The machine inside is con-
taminated with toner.
The paper curls.
The actuator does not
operate properly.

Measures
Check if the fuser motor
smoothly rotates by a hand.
Then, clean and reattach the
drive parts if necessary. If not
repaired, replace them.
Clean the terminal of the fol-
lowing wire connectors and
reinsert the connectors.
Replace the wire when it has
no continuity.• Fuser exit sen-

PWB - Engine PWB• Feed
PWB - Engine PWB
Replace the front PWB.
Replace the feed PWB.
Replace the engine PWB.
Measures
Clean the pressure roller and
the fuser belt. Or, replace the
fuser unit.
Replace the fuser unit.
Clean the machine inside.
Replace with long grain
paper.
The actuator or the spring is
deformed, or if not properly
operate, replace it.
