Causes
Check if there is any foreign matter on the front and rear
scanner rails. If any, remove it.
Replace the fuse unit (see page 1-5-25).
Check the gears and belts and, if necessary, grease them.

Run maintenance mode U034 to readjust the leading edge
registration (see page 1-3-36).
Run maintenance mode U066 to readjust the scanner
leading edge registration (see page 1-3-47).
