Follow-up Procedure
After replacing a part, collect the tools. If the part is faulty, maintenance personnel
should fill in the Offsite Repair Card for Faulty Materials, and send the card and
the faulty part to Huawei for timely maintenance.
4.1.2.7 Replacing the FAN Board
Impact on the System
If the FAN board has to be replaced, replace it quickly. If the device is operating
without a fan, high temperature may cause a master/slave control board
switchover, a system reset, or even a board burn damage. Under the room
temperature (25ºC), the requirements for FAN board replacement time must be
completed within one minute.
Precautions
When removing the FAN board, do not touch the rotating fan leaves.

Step 1 Wear the ESD wrist strap, and insert the grounding end into the ESD jack on the
device, or wear ESD gloves.
