◆ If no heat insulation has been installed or if it has been improperly installed, the air conditioner capacity may
be adversely affected (pre-set regulatory curve change due to heat radiation).

9.6 - Detach and re-attach refrigerant lines from/to compressor

-
Drain the refrigerant circuit.
=> Air conditioner with refrigerant R134a
-
-> Remove bolts -A- (tightening torque 20 Nm).
-
Replace both O-ring seals -B- (10.8 mm; 1.8 mm) and -D- (14.3 mm; 2.4 mm).
Notes:
◆ Refrigerant line -C- leads to the condenser.
◆ Refrigerant line -E- comes from the expansion valve.
◆ When installing the refrigerant line, ensure that locking pins -F- are properly positioned.
◆ Seal off open refrigerant pipes and connections at the compressor.

9.7 - Removing and installing compressor

Drain the refrigerant circuit.
=> Air conditioner with refrigerant R134a

Detach refrigerant pipes from the compressor.
-
Removing and re-attaching compressor from/to bracket:
-
4 cyl. petrol engine=>Page
-
4 cyl. diesel engine => Page
Notes:
◆ Replace compressor.
=> Air conditioner with refrigerant R134a.
◆ Following installation, turn the compressor approx. 10 revolutions by hand before the first start.
◆ When first starting the compressor:
-
Start engine with compressor switched off ("OFF" mode)
-
Wait until the idle speed has stabilised.
-
Following the above steps, switch on the compressor and allow to run at least 10 minutes at idle speed.
◆ Removing and installing ribbed belt.
