Possible causes of fault
- Short circuit, open circuit in wiring
or fault in pin assignment of con‐
nectors between -V70 and
-E87.
Central flap stiff.
Positioning motor -V70 defective
Possible causes of fault
- Short circuit or open circuit be‐
tween -V2, blower control unit -
J126 and/or -E87.
Open circuit in the power supply or
earth connection to -J126.
Control unit -J126 defective.
Fresh air blower -V2 defective.
- Short circuit, open circuit in wiring
or fault in pin assignment of con‐
nectors between -V71 and
-E87.
Air flow flap or fresh/recirculated air
flap stiff.
Positioning motor -V71 defective.
Possible causes of fault
Operating and display unit -E87 up to index "E" (two displays)
- Operating and display unit -E87
wrongly coded.
Short circuit to earth on connector
B, contact 6 to -E87.
Possible causes of fault
Operating and display unit -E87 with index "M" or "N" (two displays)
▪ Vehicles without map-controlled
cooling
Short circuit to earth on connector
B, contact 6 to -E87.
Operating and display unit -E87 in‐
correctly coded (sender -G191 is
not installed in Audi A3 without
map-controlled cooling).
Fault remedy
- Use current flow diagram to locate
and eliminate short circuit, open cir‐
cuit in wiring or fault in pin assign‐
ment.
Check freedom of movement of the
central flap.
