Note on display zones 2 and 3:
The measured value from a defective temperature sensor is suppressed by -E87, and -E87 then uses an internal
calculated value for the further control (the current measured value is displayed).
Notes on display zone 4:
◆ The signal is used by -E87 for control calculation starting at a refrigerant temperature of + 40 °C.
◆ In the absence of a signal, -53 °C (+ 125 °C only for software version D71) is displayed as the refrigerant
temperature, and the refrigerant temperature is calculated by -E87.
◆ If the refrigerant temperature from the dash panel insert is too high, the dash panel insert switches its output
to earth and 121 °C is displayed as refrigerant temperature and the compressor is switched off.
◆ The "refrigerant temperature" wiring from -E87 to the dash panel insert does not exist in all model year 1997
and 1998 vehicles.

◆ For vehicles without "refrigerant temperature" wiring between -E87 and the dash panel insert, compressor
shutoff in the event of excessively high refrigerant temperature is actuated by refrigerant temperature switch
-F14.

◆ For vehicles with pressure switch -F129 with "refrigerant temperature" wiring between -E87 and dash panel
insert, compressor shutoff in the event of excessively high refrigerant temperature is controlled by refrigerant
temperature switch -F14 or by the dash panel insert.

Voltage at fresh-air blower -V2, side lights, voltage at terminal 58d and 58s

▪ Specified voltage for fresh air blower -V2 (calculated by -E87).
