3 Two-way valve for refrigerant shut-off valve -N147
◆ An additional switch for rotary temperature selection knob -F269 is attached to the heater control; this
switch actuates -N147.
◆ The two-way valve -N147 is installed on the left-hand side of the engine compartment (as viewed in
direction of travel) above the master brake cylinder.
4 Refrigerant shut-off valve
◆ Ensure refrigerant flows in correct direction (arrow).
◆ The refrigerant shut-off valve is installed in the refrigerant hose between the engine and heat exchanger

In vehicles and map-controlled cooling (gradual introduction first in vehicles with 1.6 litre engine as of model
year 1999):

A modified heater control with an additional switch -F269 for rotary temperature selection knob and a po‐
tentiometer -G267 for rotary temperature selection knob will be installed.
