Repairing The Air Conditioner Magnetic Clutch -N25 - Audi A3 1997 Manual

- Removing ribbed belt.
=> Relevant Workshop Manual Engine; Mechanical Components; Repair group 13
- Remove noise insulation and division between engine compartment and right wheel housing.
=> General Body Repairs, Exterior; Repair group 50
- -> Remove bolts -A- (tightening torque 45 Nm).
Notes:
◆ Before inserting the compressor, push slide bush -B- completely into the compressor hole.
◆ When installing ribbed belt, note correct position of pulley.

Notes:
◆ The magnetic clutch can be serviced without opening the refrigerant circuit.
◆ Mark the direction of rotation with chalk or felt pen before removing the ribbed belt. If the belt rotates in the
wrong direction when it is refitted, this can cause breakage.
- Remove the noise insulation and the division between engine compartment and right wheel housing.
=> General Body Assembly work Exterior; Repair group 50; Body front Body front
- Remove the ribbed belt:
