Climate Control

Clean and Change the Air Conditioning
Filters
The air conditioner internal filter should be cleaned
every 50 hours (or as required, depending upon con-
ditions)) and replaced if damaged.
The air conditioner external filter should be cleaned
every 250 hours (or as required, depending upon
conditions)) and replaced if damaged.
Procedure described in
Service.
Check the Air Conditioner and the Air
Filter Housing
1. Carry out a functional check on the air condi-
tioner daily. Refer to
Instruments, Chapter 2.
2. Check that the air conditioner unit is mounted
securely and is not damaged.
3. Ensure that the filter housing is secure, undam-
aged and that the air inlet vents are not blocked
(air flow is not restricted).
4. Ensure that the pipes and connections are se-
cure and not damaged.

Check the Alternator
1. Check that the battery charge light is not indicat-
ing a low charge. Refer to
and Instruments, Chapter 2.
Check the Starter Motor
1. Carry out a functional test of the starter motor

for starting the engine.
Check the Wiring
1. Check the wiring daily for security and to ensure
that no fraying has taken place.
2. Ensure that the connections are secure and that
the alternator, starter motor, buzzer and horn
earth cables are secure.
3. Visually inspect all the sender units and
switches for damage.

Lubrication, Grease Points

Use EP2 lithium based grease in a grease gun to lu-
bricate the following:
Note: The oscillation joint must be greased daily in
accordance with the procedure described on the de-
cal at the articulation joint. One shot of grease daily
at the other grease points should be sufficient for
normal operating requirements.
‹ WARNING
When the bin is raised to the full up position, al-
ways raise the bin prop and never enter the area
between the bin and chassis unless the bin is
safely lowered on to the bin prop.
